Great Design and Value - Not too thick, Not too thin

The design is stylish and solid, offering a fair amount of protection. The case has a very unique and cool look.

Attaching the case to the iPhone is simple. At first it seemed too easy to get on and off, but after a few (accidental) drops, I did not worry about the case coming off.

The black areas have a matte look while the silver areas have vertical groove texture. These small grooves provide great gripping capability. It’s easy to hold and does not slide around. The case does not show any fingerprints or smudges which is a big plus in our book.

If you look closely there are small rough areas left from manufacturing. It looks like this is where the case was cut away from the molding. This is a minor detail, in an otherwise excellent design. Chances are you will only notice them when the case is first put on and you will forget about them soon after.

With the polycarbonate material you will see scratches made by objects as hard or harder than teeth. My fingernails do not leave a mark, but concrete certainly will. The important fact here is that the iPhone has been protected.

The polycarbonate material will also help absorb the shock from a falls.

Around the buttons and ports the case is leveled down to make it easier to reach them.

Protection:
When it comes to protection the Polycarbonate Exo has done a good job. I have dropped my iPhone several times while using it and there was no damage to the case or the iPhone. The benefits to using this case for protection is that even though it is thicker than some other cases, it still fits into my pockets.

The more space between the top of the lip and the front of the iPhone means more protection. Since the case has a high lip, it has a good amount of space between the iPhone glass and the surface it is resting on, when laying face down.

This case will not protect from really high drops or falls out of a moving car, but if the iPhone falls from a kitchen table (like mine did) it will probably survive without damage.

Value:
Buying this case is best if you want good protection but also want a case that is not too bulky. If you want just protection there are better cases. If you want just a slim-fit, scratch resistant case you can find better ones elsewhere. However If you want the best of both worlds, this case rocks.

The price is higher. Priced around $28 on the CaseCrown it’s not a good deal. We saw it on Amazon for less than $15, that is a good deal. If you do go with this case you will be getting a good value for your money.

Conclusion:
Overall I think that the Polycarbonate Exo is one of my favorite cases. This is because it is thick enough and the material is flexible enough to provide good drop and shock protection. Also, the design is sleek and fits into a pocket without issue.
