The iHome iP1 speaker system brings studio quality and innovation to you. It features the first active digital signal processing technology in consumer product. This new system features top-of-the-line audio reproduction.
The Digital Processing technology makes up for lost sound; it looks for sound deficiencies and restores harmony and clarity. This technology lends itself to a hearty, robust sound and technological performance. Four-inch honeycomb woofers and 1-inch silk dome tweeters round out the sound. The bass is deeper and the sound is sharper.
This system is compatible with certain iPods, iTouch and iPhones. It also supports component/composite video out to watch iPod and iPhone movies on your TV. A fully functioning remote controls the unit and iPhone and iPod. It's 16.3 x 6.9 x 6.9 inches and weighs 14.3 pounds.

Good value but sound and design could be better
The style of the iP1 is a cool idea, but it probably could have been better. Because of the minimalistic design, some practical stuff like a case and/or a handle to assist with moving were not implemented.
The sound is better than expected. It reaches higher volumes but favors more of the high/mid range. Ihe bass IS there, but lacks a little depth.
All-in-all, none of my complaint's are bad enough not to buy the system, because most similar systems sell for a higher price.
