JBL On Stage IIIP Description
The JBL On Stage IIIP features a UFO shaped dock that supports both iPod and iPhone. Similar to the On Stage 200iD, there are only two volume buttons on the front portion of the dock and a power button at the back to maintain its clean and simple design.
The dock is designed to shield the noise created from wireless interference so there is no need to turn on Airplane Mode for your iPhone. Five clear dock adapters are included for docking different iPod and iPhone models.
The On Stage IIIP will run on (6) "AAA" batteries and has a battery life of 12 hours. The On Stage IIIP will also run on AC power. This AC adapter is supplied with the speaker system.
Remote Control: Comes with a RF remote control that works up to 30 feet away. This remote has the usual functions like volume, mute, play/pause/stop, forward/reverse. It can also navigate through the iPod's menus. A feature only a few other iPod/iPhone speaker systems have.
Inputs: There is an auxiliary input for playing music from your mp3 player, music-enabled phone or cd player.

It's OK but not great
I've had this for over six months now and wish I had one with better quality sound and the ability to dock with my case on it.
Pros and Cons
good purchase
I like this little speaker, it works very well! No interference with phone in normal mode. We actually travel with it, and use it as a speaker for the computer when we're home or away. It's a very good value for the price.
Pros and Cons
Very cool....
I love it....
Pros and Cons
Don't believe everything you read - Try It Out At The Store
First, if you have a case on your phone, you'll have to remove it. If you try to use the speakers with your case and without the "supports" that come with it, the connection sometimes doesn't work. After, cob-jobing my iPhone to stand up right with my case on to make the connection, you get a notice on your phone that says "This device is not compatible with your iPhone". Also, I found that it drained my battery instead of charging it. Finally, the remote didn't work well at all.
So, for the price and the hassle, it's not worth it.
P.S. I notice that this website doesn't mention whether you have to remove your case with any of these speakers. An important part for most of us who use cases.
Pros and Cons
So Cool!
Although it's one of JBL family member, it's a first design with 0 shape. So cool!
