iPhone's design has lead the way in smart phone development for years now. They came into the phone market using a dock connection called the "30-pin" connector.
Now there are rumors floating around that the newly developed Thunderbolt connection will be added to the next generation of iPhones. The rumor started with a filling for Thunderbolt patent reported by Patently Apple and covered by this CNET article.
Now questions have started to arise, what will happen to older generation iPhones, iPods and iPads?
For iPhone speakers in particular, what will the new docks be like?
Since this is new information, we will have to wait and see what other information becomes available. If you are worried iPhones and speakers will be harder to use together, think again. AirPlay and Bluetooth have already provided us with easy, wireless ability to control music without using a dock. So, here at iPhone Speaker Reviews, we are staying postitive. We've trusted apple thus far, it's not time to turn back yet.
